Roma-Hungarian flamenco fusion
The Spanish and Hungarian songs of De Cobre are composed by Maria Keck. In their performances, Hungarian folklore and the flavours of Eastern-European Roma culture are brought to life in the form of flamenco. Traditional threads are interwoven with personal strings; music, song and dance pulsate in unique formulations, creating a symbiosis rich in contrasts and influences.
De Cobre was formed in 2010 and has collaborated with many prominent international flamenco artists and world musicians since then (e.g. Bettina Flater, Ernesto Bravo, Adrián Benito, Kati Golenko, Paz de Manuel, Jorge Arena, Fernando Soto, Leandro Bianchi, Víctor Guadiana, Dario Santamaría Romero, Miguel Reyes, Angel Ramos, Evelin Tóth, Luca Kézdy, Péter Szalai, Zsolt Bánhalmi, János Illés) and performed in numerous places from Spain to the Balkans and Northern Europe to South- America and Mexico.
